Vaccination Updates
North Carolina requires scheduled immunizations for any child enrolled in school (whether public, private or religious). Please do not delay these required immunizations for fear of exposure to COVID-19. Local pediatric offices have set up safety standards to protect their patients and families during this quarantine. Well visits and/or immunizations are scheduled in the morning hours after deep cleaning each night. Sick children are being seen by their physicians in the afternoon and weekends. Well visits are being conducted in a separate part of the building from sick visits. Check-in is being offered from your car in the parking lot, and allow you to remain in your car while you wait to be called in.
I have attached NC Immunization Requirements for Kindergarteners through 12th grade. Please note that there is a new requirement of a booster vaccination of Meningococcal for rising seniors. I have also attached the letter from the State of North Carolina regarding this new requirement.
