Frequently Asked Questions
+ What if we need help with reference letters?
Teacher and pastor references are an important part of the application process, but we know they can feel challenging to coordinate.
When you get to the reference letter section of the application, it will ask you for the email addresses of the individuals you are asking to complete a reference. We will send an online request to the references, and they will reply directly to the school. To help, we’ve provided an example reference letter so you can see what’s required.
+ Can we apply before January 15 if our child is not in pre-K or kindergarten?
Yes, applications open for the upcoming school year in November. You may apply at any point after this, but we will not begin admitting new families with children in grades 1-12 until March.
+ What happens if we apply after August 1?
Applications received after August 1 may not be processed before the first day of school. If space is available, we will continue reviewing applications — but we cannot guarantee a start date.
+ What are the age requirements for pre-K and kindergarten?
Pre-kindergarten students must be 4 years old by August 31, while kindergarten students must be 5 years old.
+ How do we secure our child’s spot after acceptance?
Once you receive an acceptance letter, you will have approximately 10 days to complete the enrollment packet. This includes demographic information, an enrollment contract, and a $1,000 non-refundable deposit.
+ Can we afford Asheville Christian Academy?
ACA offers a Variable Tuition program to make a Christ-centered education more accessible to families. Learn more about tuition, fees, and financial assistance.
+ Do you accept international students?
Yes! We welcome international students and have a dedicated admissions process for them.
