The Power of Partnership: Understanding the ACA Corporation

At Asheville Christian Academy, we are more than a school. We are a community you belong to. One of the clearest ways that belonging is lived out is through participation in the ACA Corporation.

What Is the ACA Corporation?

Each year, parents and employees are invited to join the Corporation and play a meaningful role in the life and future of the school. This is where partnership moves beyond daily involvement and into shared stewardship.

Why It Matters

Corporation members help elect the Board of Trustees, who are entrusted with guiding the long term direction of ACA. The Board does not manage daily operations, but they safeguard the mission, ensure sustainability, and hold the school accountable to its purpose: to seek to serve Jesus Christ and uphold His preeminence in all things.

How Governance Works

ACA’s structure is intentional and designed for clarity and accountability:

  • The Corporation affirms and appoints the Board

  • The Board of Trustees sets direction, guards the mission, and evaluates the Head of School

  • The Head of School leads daily operations and is accountable for outcomes

A Shared Responsibility

This structure creates alignment and strength. It also ensures that when challenges arise, there is a clear path to realignment and accountability.

Participation in the Corporation is more than a formality. It is an opportunity to engage in stewardship, affirm leadership, and help shape the future of ACA for the 2026 to 2027 school year.

We often say ACA exists in committed partnership with Christian parents. Participation in the Corporation is one of the most tangible ways that partnership is lived out.

Thank you for being an essential part of this community.

Spring Corporation Meeting

We annually gather together as a corporation to receive a report from the Head of School, a financial report, vote on new Board members, and fellowship with one another.

Deadline for corporation membership annually is June 30.

Board members must be corporation members for at least one year in order to be eligible to be put forth as a Board candidate. Click below to download a corporation membership form.
